Morning Jumpstart Grapefruit Juice

This coming weekend marks the unofficial start to the summer (YESSSS). Why not kick off the season with some tasty morning juices?!

This spicy and tart Morning Jumpstart Grapefruit Juice has a strong kick to it, but oddly enough is one of my favorite juices to wake up to in the morning. Both grapefruit and jalapeno pack a major punch of vitamin C (helping to prevent free radical damage), ginger contains anti-inflammatory compounds helping to relieve joint pain and improve mobility, and lemon’s citric acid helps to promote alkalinity in the body which helps the body to function optimally. It’s a great way to start the day; you’ll be wide awake after one sip! If this is your first time juicing, you may want to start with something a bit sweeter (this juice is a tart). Check out my other juices for inspiration.

This spicy grapefruit juice is just what you need to jumpstart your morning routine
Ingredients
  • 4 grapefruits, peeled
  • 1/2 jalapeno, stem removed and seeded
  • 1″ knob of ginger, peeled
Instructions
  1. While running, add ingredients one at a time to juicer.
  2. If desired, dilute juice with 1-2 cups filtered water. (You get to sip on it a bit longer this way!)
