Yes, a bubble gum smoothie is really a thing and it’s insanely good!
I’ve made this about 4 times over this last week and I still can’t freaking believe that it’s made with dragonfruit and banana. What’s dope about that is that dragonfruit is loaded with fiber and nutrients. So you’re getting that bubble gum flavor (and look) but all the health benefits of whole fresh fruit.
Since I don’t live in Thailand, I find my dragonfruit it the freezer section at the grocery store, lol. Make sure you look for dragonfruit without any additives. Many companies will throw in added sugars which is totally unnecessary- they’re messing with perfection.
Alright- on to the bowl!
Bubble Gum Smoothie Bowl
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 packet of frozen dragonfruit or 1/2 cup of cubed frozen dragonfruit
- handful of ice
- 1/2 cup oat milk
- 1 tsp maca (optional- for energy)
- dash of himilayan sea salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- a few drops of stevia to sweeten
- toppings: shredded coconut is so good on this! also chia seeds and raw cashews are great
Combine everything except the toppings in a high speed blender and mix to combine. Top with your faves.
