Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl with Maca

Recipe

Green smoothies can be kind of intimidating at first. (The same goes for a green smoothie bowl!) The first time I ever tried a green smoothie I was (for sure) expecting it to taste like grass.

Surprisingly (but not really at all)- the way your green smoothie tastes completely depends on what you put into your blender!

And this simple green smoothie bowl tastes like a tropical paradise.

This bowl tastes fresh, zesty and like it’s packed with energy. (Mainly because it is.) If you’re new to green smoothies, this is a great place to start. I also recommend (if you’re new to green smoothies) to use spinach first before using kale. Kale is a little more bitter than spinach, so to make the transition to drinking your greens easier- start with the less bitter spinach. (You can’t even taste it in smoothies!)

I also added the juice from a lemon to boost the nutrition in this little bowl. Lemon has so many benefits! One of those is helping to balance the acidity in our bodies and normalize our pH. The better balanced our bodies are- the more healthy we’ll feel.

And if you decide to try this smoothie, tag me on Instagram! I’d love to see your creation.
