Are you a fan of the beet? What about a Beet Detox Smoothie? Prior to a year ago, I was not (probably because I never tried making beets myself- this makes a big difference). If this is you, buy a bunch of beets immediately and boil. Boiling beets probably sounds pretty boring, but oddly enough, I can’t tell you how excited I get for these things. They are so so good!!!! I promise.
If you do make some, the next move is to try them in a smoothie. This detox smoothie contains beets, pear, and parsley; it’s not only pretty, but a powerful detox drink.
- 1 beet, cooked (boiled, cooled, and peeled)
- 1 pear, cored
- 1′ knob ginger, peeled
- 1 handful parsley
- 1/2 banana, frozen
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- handful of ice
- Combine all ingredients in blender.
- Blend until fully combined.
