If you’re vegan and/or gluten-free, you might sometimes feel like family and friend get-togethers can be lacking in the food department, especially if your family and friends aren’t familiar with eating a plant-based diet. It might seem frustrating, but it can actually be a kickass opportunity for you to show your loved ones how insanely good vegan food can be.
With Easter right around the corner, I wanted to link up a few awesome vegan dessert options. These all came out of experiments I did trying to recreate childhood favorites. The Cadbury Creme Eggs were the toughest to replicate, but I think I landed on a version that’s pretty damn good. Plus, the filling is made from plant-based protein! How crazy is that?!
If you make any of these desserts for loved ones this weekend, I recommend holding off on telling everyone what the treat’s made of. There’s nothing better than having an adamant non-vegan fall in love with your food and find out it’s completely plant-based and cruelty-free. (Happens with my dad all the time.)
