Have you ever fallen into the I-need-coffee-in-the-morning-to-function rut? If yes, me too! And that’s really not fun (and almost annoying) to be completely reliant on a stimulant to wake up. So, if you’re game, I have a challenge for you.
Try this three ingredient (five minute) smoothie for breakfast for five days straight without coffee. See how you feel on day five when you wake up. You might not be craving coffee anymore, which might help you change your mind about whether or not you need it to function.
If we nourish ourselves with healthy, plant-based nutrients like what’s found in this smoothie, we don’t need anything else to function! We can feel ready for the day, without any spikes in energy due to caffeine highs and lows, and kiss coffee first thing in the morning goodbye.

- 3 bananas
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 cup organic carrot juice
